I do believe that there will be residual results in the communities our teams will work in." Mike Shearon, Unity FC. Development of the game and of people is not just a training and game environment activity but it is holistic. We are excited to be a part of this and I look forward to what this league will produce. I am also excited about what this project can also do off the pitch. No longer do players have to go to the other side of the country or travel to the US system. I have seen first-hand how a league like this one can be the step a player needs in their personal development. "I am extremely excited about the prospect of this league and its ability to develop the next level of talent needed to sustain the growth and success of soccer in Canada.

Reflecting on, and learning from the past, while working towards a better future has been emulated (along with a nod to the mighty Fraser River), with the reflection detail below the “U”. Playing in the colours of Trinity Dawn and Midnight Black, the club aims to unify not just the various communities within the greater Langley region, but also the past with the present and future, illustrated in the crest design with 3 distinct lines making up the “U”. Unity Football Club will seek to do the same both on and off the field, by bringing unity in the way it plays, the way it develops, and in some unique future partnerships. Langley is unique and strives to unify the past, present and future. Not only does it bring unification geographically but there is a rich history of older communities, exciting newer developments and connection to the original people of this area. With the Golden Ears Bridge, Highway 1 and the Fraser Highway nearby, you could say Langley also unifies 3 major transportation gateways. Trinity Western University based club becomes the 5th L1BC organization to kick-off in May of 2022, and the first semi-pro football club in the Western Fraser Valley.įor years, Langley has been a unifying area between the farmland of the Eastern Fraser Valley and the municipalities of Surrey and metropolis of Greater Vancouver.
